
Mat Pilates is a series of targeted strengthening exercises, ranging from beginner to advanced levels. Controlled movements are used to enhance your mind-body connection, improve balance, core strength, mobility, flexibility, and even mood. It focuses on the smaller and deeper muscles that support your structure and enhance your overall health and well-being.
Small equipment is often used such as Pilates balls, Pilates rings, therabands, loop bands, foam rollers and more. The exercises are designed to improve physical strength, flexibility, posture, balance, co-ordination, correct muscle imbalances, strengthen the core and enhance mental awareness. Over the years we have helped many clients eliminate back pain including - sciatic pain, improve spine conditions, align the pelvis, spine, shoulders and legs, relieve chronic neck and shoulder pain and much more! In a quest to improve training, many professional dancers and athletes were led to Pilates. Pilates is also used as a form of rehabilitation by physiotherapist's, Biokineticist's and other specialist.
